P is for Project (Progetto)

Every idea takes shape through study and vision.

Sometimes it starts with a drawing. Other times, with a material, a photograph, a conversation around a table. Someone imagines a light, a shape, a detail for a space that is coming to life.

In the workshop, that idea meets its first questions. What proportions should it have? How will it be used? Which finish will work with the wood, stone and fabrics?

In hotels, these questions extend across different spaces. A lamp accompanies reading in a guest room, a chandelier welcomes guests into a lounge, a lantern marks the entrance. Each element serves a purpose and contributes to the character of the place.

Our work begins with a conversation with architects, interior designers and clients. Sometimes we start with Bronzetto’s collections, adapting dimensions and finishes. Other times, we develop an original design, even turning a hotel’s logo into a brass detail you can touch.

Then the project meets the material. We study thicknesses, joints and surfaces; we choose the techniques. Experienced hands help give shape to what, until then, existed on paper.

For over sixty years, this is how we have worked in our Florentine workshop. With the pleasure of seeing an idea become an object. And finding it in its place, in the room it was imagined for.
