The reopening of Villa San Michele: elegance, light and Florentine craftsmanship 

On the hills of Fiesole, overlooking Florence, Villa San Michele reopens its doors after an 18-month renovation led by architecture and interior design studio Luigi Fragola Architects. A new chapter for an iconic destination of hospitality, where beauty, history and landscape continue to engage in a natural dialogue. 

Set within a unique context, where architecture meets the culture of the territory and the light of the city, Villa San Michele confirms its identity as a refined and timeless destination. Each space conveys a sense of measured elegance, shaped through materials, proportions and details designed to discreetly accompany the guest experience. 

As part of this important renovation, Bronzetto contributed to the project with a series of bathroom wall lights, developed from the Canneté line and specifically reinterpreted for Villa San Michele. Discreet and precious elements, designed to integrate harmoniously into the hotel’s interiors and enhance their atmosphere through light, glass and brass.

The wall lights created for Villa San Michele originate from the Canneté line, reinterpreted to meet the hotel’s aesthetic and design requirements. Their semi-cylindrical shape, glass structure and amber brass base create an essential lighting element, combining functionality with decorative value. 

The rhythmic pattern of the Canneté workmanship gives depth to the surface, creating a refined and never excessive material effect. It is a detail that does not dominate the space, but accompanies it: a luminous presence capable of adding warmth and character to the hotel’s most intimate environments. 

This reinterpretation reflects Bronzetto’s approach to materials and bespoke design: starting from recognizable forms, finishes and craftsmanship techniques, and adapting them with balance to the needs of each context. At Villa San Michele, the wall lights thus become a discreet yet meaningful presence, designed to dialogue with the identity of the hotel and the language of its interiors. 

Inside the bathrooms, the light interacts with the surfaces, softens the atmosphere and helps create a sense of welcome that is consistent with the spirit of the place. Every detail contributes to a balance between comfort, elegance and artisanal memory.
