Design as an Encounter 

The collaboration between Bronzetto and Piero Angelo Orecchioni grew out of the meeting of two different worlds: on one side, a visual language shaped by nature, travel, colour and memory; on the other, the history of the workshop, its archives and its practical knowledge of materials and techniques. 

Originally from Gallura, Orecchioni sees the landscape of his homeland as a constant source of inspiration. In his account, rocks, centuries-old trees and water repeatedly return, with water understood as a symbol of movement, exchange and the meeting of different cultures.  

Artisan workshops also become part of this journey: 

“Artisan workshops are like harbours where it is pleasant to dock and lose oneself: styles and periods merge, and time stands still.”  

It is precisely by entering the Bronzetto workshop that the project begins to take shape. Old moulds, models preserved in the archives, structures, materials and techniques are viewed from a new perspective and transformed into starting points for the Blossom collection. 

Orecchioni’s vision thus meets Michelangelo Moroni’s technical development and the work of Bronzetto’s artisans. The initial ideas are translated into technical drawings, prototypes and construction solutions, eventually giving rise to a collection of lighting and furniture pieces defined by the combination of different forms, colours and materials.  

Blossom is also rooted in a personal memory: the garden tended by Orecchioni’s mother, the rhythm of seasonal blooms and the idea that even a single flower can bring life and light into a room.  

This imagery is translated by the workshop through brass, glass, marble, painted metals and decorative techniques. The result is not the simple execution of a fully defined drawing, but the outcome of an ongoing dialogue between those who imagine and those who build. 

This is where the value of the partnership lies: in the ability to bring together design sensitivity, artisanal memory and technical expertise, allowing each contribution to shape the final result.
