Designer light and details for Stella d’Italia

Il Bronzetto’s artisanal contribution to an iconic Florentine hospitality project

In the elegant heart of Florence, at No. 2 Via Tornabuoni, a project has come to life that is both a tribute to art, history, and the true spirit of Italianità: Stella d’Italia, the new boutique hotel by Matteo Perduca, creator of celebrated hospitality spaces like AdAstra and SoprArno.

For a project so unique—where each room is a visual narrative made of objects, memories, and design—Il Bronzetto was selected to craft custom lighting pieces and decorative objects, designed to blend seamlessly with the eclectic and deeply artisanal soul of the hotel.

Light that tells a story

Our brass lamps and objects were created to harmonize with spaces that merge the old with the new: rooms with restored original frescoes, 1950s movie posters, vintage maps, and carefully selected treasures that Perduca gathered over the course of a year traveling through markets and fairs across Italy.

Every piece made by Il Bronzetto is handcrafted in our Florentine workshop, with a tradition of care passed down through generations. Our contribution goes beyond functional lighting—we aim to create atmosphere, bringing light to the stories each space holds, with both discretion and personality.

Craftsmanship as a design language

Il Bronzetto is proud to have taken part in a project that celebrates Italy in all its facets: from raw materials to clean lines, from evocative detail to the dynamic energy of space. Collaborating with a visionary concept like Stella d’Italia allows us to reaffirm the relevance of artisanal excellence in high-end hospitality.

Each room in the hotel is different, but what unites them all is the value of the handmade, of bespoke creation, and of that kind of beauty that may be imperfect—but is always authentic.
