A charming residence overlooking Florence

In a privileged position overlooking Florence from above, on the hill of Marignolle, a 15th-century farmhouse has undergone a careful and measured renovation, transforming it into a private residence of great charm. An interior design project rooted in respect for the building’s historical identity and expressed through a contemporary language of balance, light and material.

Led by architects Camilla Lapucci and Lapo Bianchi Luci of Studio Cipiuelle, the intervention worked through subtraction and enhancement: original structures were preserved and brought to light, while new bespoke elements were introduced discreetly, never forcing the dialogue with the existing architecture. Historic details and contemporary solutions coexist naturally, resulting in elegant, functional and highly coherent interiors.

Bespoke lighting and brass details: Il Bronzetto’s contribution

Within this narrative of Florentine manufacturing excellence, light and metal details play a central role. Il Bronzetto contributed to the project with the creation of bespoke chandeliers, picture lights, door handles and cabinet knobs in brass, all designed to integrate seamlessly yet distinctively into the spaces.

The custom brass chandeliers, developed in close dialogue with the architecture, become true focal points: striking yet balanced suspensions that enhance ceiling heights, define volumes and create warm, enveloping atmospheres. Alongside them, bespoke picture lights illuminate artworks and photographs with precision, highlighting their presence without overpowering them, thanks to carefully calibrated light and tailor-made proportions.

Handcrafted brass handles and knobs for a coherent design language

Even the smallest details reveal the value of bespoke craftsmanship. Custom-designed brass handles and knobs, handmade specifically for the project, complete doors and furnishings as consistent elements of a unified material language. Subtle yet distinctive accents that, through artisanal brass craftsmanship, strengthen the identity of the interiors and reinforce continuity between architecture, furniture and decoration.

An interior design project celebrating Florentine craftsmanship

The representative areas are defined by a cultured, never ostentatious elegance: colours, textures and materials interact within linear spaces rich in character and nuance. Room after room, antique furnishings and contemporary artworks become part of a fluid scenography, conceived to be lived in and shared.

A project that celebrates Florentine craftsmanship and the collaboration between architecture, art and artisanal know-how. For Il Bronzetto, taking part in this residence meant translating decades of expertise in metalworking into bespoke lighting solutions and handcrafted brass details, enhancing unique spaces and expressing—through light and material—a way of living rooted in quality, beauty and time.
