From Amsterdam to Bad Gastein, a story of transformation where light is signed by Il Bronzetto
Nestled among the breathtaking peaks of the Austrian Alps, in the historic spa town of Bad Gastein, stands Villa Kraft — a refined holiday home born from the restoration of the 19th-century "Haus Lindebner", a building that once thrived during the golden years of the Belle Époque.
The revival was brought to life by a young Dutch couple, Peter and Jadwiga, who in 2019 left Amsterdam with their three daughters to follow their dream of living in the mountains. A bold, personal project that saw them directly involved in the entire restoration process, completed in early 2021.
A new light for a place full of memory
Today, Villa Kraft is composed of four fully independent apartments, each featuring modern comforts and breathtaking views, along with shared spaces such as a kitchen, lounge, games room, saunas, and ski storage. The interiors balance natural materials, pastel colors, vintage touches, and subtle industrial influences. It is within this dialogue between past and present that Il Bronzetto’s lighting designs from the Brass Brothers & Co. collection play a key role.
Wormhole and Satellite: functional design with a luminous story
At the visual heart of the project is the Wormhole line, featured as both floor and wall lamps. With its vintage-inspired design and customizable finishes — from mud tones and matte black with gold leaf interiors to natural brass structures and Marquinia marble bases — Wormhole adds character to the original staircase and warmth to the shared living areas.
Inside the apartments, the spotlight is on the Satellite collection, designed by Agnese Matteini for Il Bronzetto. Minimal and versatile, these directional lamps feature a double aluminum cylinder and articulated arm that allows light to be precisely directed — enhancing architectural details or highlighting furnishings. Available in vibrant RAL colors and a wide variety of brass finishes, they bring contemporary character to any space.
Craftsmanship that tells a story
Much like Villa Kraft, Il Bronzetto is a keeper of history — a Florentine workshop where metalworking tradition meets contemporary design. A place where experience and creativity come together to create objects that don’t just light a space, but add soul, style, and narrative to it.
